On Tuesday, 23 April, Firefighters from Berkshire and Buckinghamshire came to the aid of a trapped pony near Marlow.

As the weather begins to improve, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) is once again joining fire services from across the UK to ask people to stay safe in and around water.

All firefighters across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire are now using the same breathing apparatus sets and associated equipment, when responding to emergency incidents tackling fires or entering other hazardous environments.

Following a successful pilot in 2023, we have announced another series of exciting Discover a Career as a Firefighter Sessions to help potential applicants find out more about the role. 

Changes to Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service’s (RBFRS) maternity and adoption leave will offer those eligible an increased maternity and adoption pay provision of up to 52 weeks full pay.
