This was a great opportunity for joint working with our colleagues at TVP West Berkshire, giving out festive safety advice. We also took the opportunity to promote our Safe and Well Visit service and let people have a look around our fire engine.

This #RemembranceDay, we’ll be joining in the national two-minute silence at 11am to honour and remember all those who are currently serving, who have served and who have lost their lives serving their country.

As the union flag flies at full-mast across our Service’s buildings, our teams will come together throughout Berkshire to commemorate all those who have lost their lives in conflicts around the world.

Our Fire Cadets at Crowthorne and Maidenhead have also created a fitting tribute out of knots, lines and hose ahead of the day.

Thank you to everyone who came to the charity car wash at Crowthorne Fire Station on Saturday.

Thanks to your generous donations, a grand total of £1,125.47 was raised, which will be split equally between the Fire Angels Foundation and the Fire Fighters Charity.

We also thank the Crowthorne crew, Fire Cadets, Bracknell Green Watch and all RBFRS volunteers who supported this event.

Caversham Road Fire Station marked 85 years of ser

Caversham Road Fire Station marked 85 years of service with an Open Day on Saturday, 26 October.

The event was really well attended, with queues forming throughout the day to see the fire engine and meet our Green Watch crews. Attendees also got to see the Water and Animal Rescue Unit and watch a working at height demonstration by firefighters.

Supporting the event were TVP Reading, as well as Berkshire Lowland Search & Rescue - BLSAR, who took the opportunity to discuss a range of issues with local residents.

Thank you to all those who attended and helped to mark this milestone.
