Open House at Whitley Wood Fire Station

Our crew at Whitley Wood Fire Station in Reading is inviting people to come and find out more about life in the fire and rescue service. This event is designed towards people with an interest in a career as a firefighter.

Between 3 and 5pm, guests are welcome to drop in to the station to see the fire station, the equipment used by firefighters and talk to the crews about their experiences in their roles. Guests will get the opportunity to find out about fitness requirements and the recruitment process to become a firefighter.

Please note that if you are currently going through the Wholetime Firefighter recruitment process with RBFRS you are unable to attend these sessions.

There is no need to register in advance, please just report to the main entrance.

Parking will not be available in the station, please use local street parking at the front of the station.
