Animal Rescue in Arborfield

At 3:13pm on Monday, 9 December, we received reports of an animal needing rescuing near Poperinghe Way in Arborfield.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham and Wokingham Road fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Animal and Water Rescue Unit from Caversham Road Fire Station and one Officer.

Upon arrival, crews found a horse stuck in deep mud. Firefighters used animal rescue equipment and worked with an equine vet to safely rescue the horse from the mud.

They were on scene for approximately two hours and 54 minutes.
