Animal rescue in Slough

At 12:38pm on Sunday, 16 June, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue on Twist Way in Slough.

A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Slough Fire Station was sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, the crew discovered a seagull trapped in wiring on the roof of a two-storey building. Firefighters used a ladder to access the roof and rescued the seagull before placing it in the care Animal Rescue Society.

The crew was at the scene for approximately 46 minutes.
