At 2:30pm on Friday, 15 March, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue on Sill Bridge Lane near Waltham St Lawrence.
A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Wokingham Road Fire Station was sent to the scene alongside an Officer and the Animal Rescue Unit from Caversham Road Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a horse trapped in a ditch. Crews helped the horse out of the ditch and back onto its feet.
Crews were at the scene for approximately 50 minutes.
