Horse Rescue in Slough

At 12:50pm on Monday, 24 February, we received reports of an animal in need of rescue on Fir Tree Avenue in Slough.

One Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Slough Fire Station was sent to the scene, alongside the Animal and Water Rescue Unit from Caversham Road Fire Station.

Upon arrival, crews found one horse with its rear legs stuck in some barbed wire. With the RSPCA in attendance, firefighters released the horse from the barbed wire before handing over to the RSPCA.

They were on scene for approximately 42 minutes.
