At 2.20pm on Sunday, 2 June, we received reports of a fire at a commercial premise on Trafford Road, Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road, Whitley Wood, Wokingham, Theale and Bracknell were sent to the scene, together with the Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood and an Officer.
Firefighters found a fire on the first floor of a two-storey building. Twelve firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used three hose reels and the Aerial Ladder Platform to extinguish the fire, before damping down the area and handing back to the owner.
Crews were on the scene for about three hours before returning for a reinspection.
