At 2:35am on Wednesday, 31 July, we received to reports of a fire on Dumbarton Way in Caversham.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire on a back porch. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire before clearing smoke from the property with positive pressure ventilation equipment.
Firefighters were at the scene for approximately 56 minutes.
