At 3.03am on Saturday, 1 June, we were called by South Central Ambulance Service to a fire at a flat in Holmedene, Burghfield Common.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Theale, Whitley Wood and Caversham Road were sent to the scene, together with one Officer from Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire in the lounge of a ground floor flat. All persons were accounted for, but two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire, before handing over the incident to Thames Valley Police.
Crews were on the scene for about one hour and 35 minutes.
