At 7:07pm on Friday, 11 November, we received reports of a fire on Course Road in Ascot.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Wokingham, Ascot, Crowthorne, Bracknell, Slough and Windsor fire stations attended the incident alongside an Incident Command Unit and four Officers.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire on the second storey of a terraced property. Using two main jets and two hose reels firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus extinguished the fire. Following the incident, a member of the public was placed in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Four firefighters received medical treatment after responding to this incident, but are safe and well. As a Service, the safety and wellbeing of our staff is of paramount importance and they will continue to be supported. Crews were on the scene for approximately five hours and 55 minutes before returning to re-inspect the property.
