At 12:50pm on Sunday, 18 December, we received reports of a fire at a property at Clark’s Gardens, Hungerford.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station and a crew from Theale Community Fire Station were sent to the scene, alongside the Incident Command Unit from Maidenhead Fire Station, the Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood Fire Station, and one RBFRS Officer. Crews were also supported by Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews found one semi-detached property well alight, causing damage to the first floor and roof.
Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using three hose reels and were on the scene for approximately two hours and 13 minutes.
