At 16:55pm on Wednesday, 7 December, we received reports of a fire at a domestic property in Chieveley, Newbury.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene, supported by crews from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews found a small fire in the kitchen of the property.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel, before clearing the remaining smoke with a large powered fan.
Crews were on the scene for approximately 52 minutes
