At 12:08am on Wednesday, 5 February, we received reports of a roof fire on Erleigh Road in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews found the first floor and annexe of a two-storey house on fire. Four firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used three hose reels and one hydrant to put out the fire.
They were on scene for approximately one hour and 16 minutes.
