At 9:02am on Saturday, 9 April, we received reports of a fire at a property on Sheepwash Lane, Newtown Common.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station, Hungerford Fire Station, Theale Community Fire Station and the Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood Fire Station were sent to the scene, alongside one RBFRS Officer and supported by crews from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews confirmed a fire affecting the roof, first floor and ground floor of the property. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using two main jets and two hose reels.
Crews were on the scene for approximately 4 hours and fourteen minutes.
