At 9:18am on Friday, 9 August, we received a report of a field fire near Andover Road in Newbury.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury were sent to the scene alongside a 4×4 sprinter from Mortimer Fire Station and a water carrier from Bracknell Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews discovered multiple hay bales on fire. Firefighters used hay drags and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
Crews were on the scene for around one hour and 32 minutes.
