At 3:13pm on Sunday, 30 June, we received reports of a fire near Mead Lane in Upper Basildon
A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Theale Community Fire Station was sent to the scene alongside a 4×4 vehicle from Mortimer Fire Station and a crew from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a large field fire. Firefighters used hose reels and beaters to extinguish the fire.
Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and five minutes.
