At 11:16pm on Wednesday, 27 March, we received a call reporting a fire at a commercial building on Boulton Road in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Whitley Wood, Wokingham Road, Theale and Wokingham Fire Stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood Fire Station, Incident Command Unit from Maidenhead and one Officer.
Upon arrival, eight firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used three jets and one hydrant to extinguish the fire
Crews were initially on the scene for approximately three hours, and returned the following morning for a re-inspection.
