At 8:15pm on Saturday, 8 July, we received a report of a fire at a waste management site on Lakeside Road, Colnbrook, Slough.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service Crews from Langley, Bracknell, Slough, Wokingham Road, Maidenhead and Windsor Fire Stations were sent to the scene, alongside three Officers and crews from London Fire Brigade, Surrey Fire and Rescue Service and Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service. An Incident Command Unit from Maidenhead and an off-road water carrier from Bracknell Fire Station were also sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire in a single storey steel building. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using two main jets and two hose reels.
Crews were initially on the scene for approximately six and a half hours, before returning for a reinspection.
