At 6:19pm on Sunday, 2 April, we received reports of a fire in a high-rise on Wensley Road in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service Crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road, Whitley Wood and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Aerial Ladder Platform.
Upon arrival, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus discovered and extinguished a small kitchen fire on the seventh floor of the building.
Crews were on the scene for approximately 25 minutes.
