Fire in the open in Ascot

At 3:28pm on Saturday, 12 April, we received reports of a fire in the open on Coombe Lane in Ascot.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Ascot, Bracknell and Wokingham fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.

Upon arrival, crews found a fire in some woodland. Firefighters used two extended hose reels, one water hydrant and beaters to put out the fire and make the scene safe.

They were on scene for approximately four hours and 15 minutes.

One crew from Bracknell Fire Station returned the next day to reinspect the scene. They were on scene for approximately 15 minutes.
