At 3:41pm on Sunday, 22 December, we received a report of a fire in the open on Wellhouse Lane in Frilsham.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a dead tree on fire. Firefighters used one extended hose reel to extinguish the fire.
Crews were on the scene for around two hours and 28 minutes before returning later to check for hotspots.
