Fire near Crowthorne

At 4:22pm on Saturday, 29 June, we received reports of a fire near Crowthorne.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Ascot, Bracknell and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside a Zetros water carrier and an Officer.

Upon arrival, crews discovered a large fire in an area of woodland and peat. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used the Zetros to extinguish the fire before handing over to the Crown Estate.

Crews were at the scene for approximately three hours and three minutes before returning later to reinspect for hotspots.
