At 10:31am on Saturday, 1 July, we received reports of a fire on Haw Lane in Aldworth.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury, Hungerford, Whiltey Wood and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside three Officers, and crews from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire in a single storey outhouse. Firefighters equipped in breathing apparatus used two hose reels, one main jet, and one light portable pump to extinguish the fire.
Firefighters were at the scene for approximately three hours and five minutes before returning for a re-inspection to check for hotspots several hours later.
