At 1:16pm on Monday, 26 February, we received reports of a fire on Ranelagh Crescent in Ascot.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Ascot, Bracknell and Windsor fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire in a bungalow. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus entered the property and rescued one person and a dog before extinguishing the fire with two hose reels.
Crews provided immediate emergency care to the person and dog before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service and a vet respectively. Firefighters then used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
Crews were at the scene for approximately two hours and 40 minutes.
