At 3:36am on Sunday, 13 August, we received reports of a fire on Gordon Road in Newbury.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews discovered and extinguished a fire in a ground floor flat before proceeding to ventilate the property. Firefighters also provided immediate emergency care to one person at the scene who was taken into the care of South Central Ambulance Service shortly thereafter.
Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and 20 minutes.
