At 12:47am on Saturday, 7 December, we received reports of a building on fire on Shinfield Road in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Caversham Road, Whitley Wood and Wokingham fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire in the kitchen on the third floor of the building. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel and one CO2 extinguisher to put out the fire.
They were on scene for approximately one hour and 19 minutes.
