Fire in Slough

At 10:20am on Monday, 17 June, we received reports of a fire on The Myrke in Slough.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough and Langley fire stations were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival. Crews discovered a fire in a two-storey terraced house. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel and a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher to put the fire out. Crews then used a fan to ventilate smoke from the property whilst checking for toxic gasses with a gas monitor.

Firefighters provided immediate emergency care to two people at the scene before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and seven minutes.
