At 9:33am on Tuesday, 18 February, we received reports of a fire near Chilton Foliat.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Officer and crews from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a tumble dryer on fire in the basement of a residential building. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire. Crews then used a fan to ventilate smoke from the property.
Crews were at the scene for approximately two hours and 15 minutes.
