At 10:41am on Friday, 8 December, we received reports of a fire at a house near Long Readings Lane in Slough.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough and crews from Langley and Maidenhead were sent to the scene, together with the Incident Command Unit and three Officers.
Firefighters found a fire on the ground floor of a domestic property of three storeys. Two people were rescued by a member of the public prior to crews’ arrival and firefighters then rescued a third person using a triple extension ladder, before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using one hose reel. Crews were on the scene for approximately one hour and 30 minutes.
