At 10:07pm on Monday, 16 December, we received a report of a gas leak on Hectors way in Newbury.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury, Theale, and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene alongside an Incident Command Unit, an Officer and firefighters from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a gas leak in a warehouse. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus and hydrant gas monitors used one jet to secure the scene and check for further leaks.
Crews were at the scene for approximately two hours and 15 minutes.
