At 4:40pm on Sunday, 9 March, we received reports of an incident near Old Windsor Lock in Windsor.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Windsor, Maidenhead and Bracknell fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Water Rescue Unit from Slough Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews found one boat with one person onboard was stuck on the weir. Firefighters safely rescued the person, before leaving the boat in the hands of the Environment Agency.
They were on scene for approximately one hour and 29 minutes.
