At 6:33pm on Monday, 2 September, we received a report of a fire on Caversham Road in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road, Whitley Wood, Theale, Mortimer fire stations, alongside the Aerial Ladder Platform from Whitley Wood and one Officer were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire within a living container. Two firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Then firefighters ventilated the property.
Crews were on the scene for around 46 minutes.
