At 5:20pm on Monday, 20 March, we received reports of a fire at a residential property on Merton Road, Slough.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough Fire Station and crews from Langley and Maidenhead fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one RBFRS Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire affecting the kitchen of the ground floor flat.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel, before using a large powered fan to clear the remaining smoke.
Crews were on the scene for approximately one hour and 27 minutes.
