Road Traffic Collision in Newbury

At 6:27am on Sunday, 15 December, we received a call from Thames Valley Police to reports of a road traffic collision on the A343 St John’s Road in Newbury.

Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene, alongside one crew from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service.

Upon arrival, crews found a road traffic collision involving one car on its side with two people trapped. Crews rescued the two people using specialist equipment. Crews then gave immediate emergency care to five people, before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

They were on scene for approximately one hour and 36 minutes.
