At 3.21pm on Saturday, 23 March we received reports of a road traffic collision on the M4 Westbound at Shefford Woodlands between Junctions 14 and 15.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hungerford and Newbury Fire Stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer and Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a collision involving multiple vehicles.
Firefighters worked with colleagues from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service by making the scene safe. They placed six people in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Crews were on the scene for approximately one hour and 10 minutes.
