At 4:49am on Thursday, 13 March, we received reports of a road traffic collision on Theale Road near Tidmarsh.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a collision involving one vehicle. Firefighters made the scene safe, and one person was placed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Tragically, the person later passed away at the scene. Our thoughts are with their family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour before handing over to Thames Valley Police.
