At 1:10am on Friday, 4 October, we received reports of a road traffic collision near Membury Services on the M4.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene alongside and Officer and a crew from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a collision involving a lorry and a car. Firefighter used hydraulic cutting equipment to rescue one person from one of the vehicles. The person was then placed in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour and 23 minutes.
