At 9.33am on Wednesday, 10 January, we received reports of a road traffic collision on the M4 Westbound between Junction 12 for Theale and Junction 13 for Chieveley.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Theale, Whitley Wood and Wokingham Road Fire Stations were sent to the scene, together with two Officers.
Firefighters found a road traffic collision involving one vehicle. They used cutting gear to rescue one person who was trapped in the vehicle and placed them into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Crews were on the scene for about an hour and 10 minutes before handing over to Thames Valley Police.
