At 4:26am on Monday, 18 September, we received a call from South Central Ambulance Service to a report of a road traffic collision on the M4 Westbound between Junction 14 and Junction 15.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury were sent to the scene, together with crews from Hungerford and Whitley Wood. The Heavy Rescue Unit from Theale Fire Station and one Officer were also sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a collision between one bus and one lorry. Crews worked to release one person and place them into the care of South Central Ambulance Service. Crews were on the scene for around 2 hours and 54 minutes, before handing the incident over to Thames Valley Police.
