At 5:20pm on Saturday, 27 July, we received reports of a fire on Basingstoke Road in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Caversham Road, Wokingham Road, Wokingham, Ascot, Whitley Wood and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene alongside two Officers and an Incident Command Unit from Maidenhead Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire in a large outbuilding that had spread to several nearby garden fences. Firefighters used two hose reels and a main jet to extinguish the fire.
Crews were at the scene for approximately three hours and 17 minutes before returning to reinspect the property the following morning.
