Fire in Thatcham

At 1:47pm on Thursday, 6 March, we received reports of a fire on Bath Road in Thatcham.

Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews found one shed on fire that was affecting neighbouring gardens. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to put out the fire and make the surrounding area safe. Crews also used immediate emergency care on one person before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

They were on scene for approximately one hour and 19 minutes.
