At 12:32pm on Tuesday, 24 January, we received reports of a dangerous structure on Ray Mead Road in Maidenhead.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough and Windsor fire stations were sent to the scene alongside crews from London Fire Brigade.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a collapsed chimney. Using an Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP), firefighters inspected the chimney and determined that no safe action was available. Crews have closed the road and handed the scene over to Thames Valley Police.
Fire crews were on the scene for approximately one hour and 50 minutes.
