At 7:44am on Tuesday, 4 March, we received reports of a vehicle fire on the M4 Eastbound between Junction 10 in Winnersh and Junction 8.9 in Holyport.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road, Whitley Wood, Wokingham and Bracknell fire stations were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found one car on fire. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire, before handing over to National Highways.
They were on scene for approximately 46 minutes.
