At 7:36pm on Monday, 17 March, we received a call from National Highways to reports of a vehicle fire on the M4 Eastbound between Junction 10 in Winnersh and Junction 8.9 in Holyport.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Wokingham Road and Whitley Wood fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside one Officer.
Upon arrival, crews found one car on fire. One firefighter equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire and make the area safe, before handing the scene over to National Highways.
They were on scene for approximately 26 minutes.
