Car on Fire on the M4(W)

At 6:24am on Monday, 28 October, we received reports of a small vehicle on fire on the M4 Westbound between Junction 4B in Thorney and Junction 5 in Langley.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue crews from Langley and Slough Fire Stations attended the scene, alongside two crews from London Fire Brigade.

Upon arrival, crews found one car on fire on the hard shoulder of the M4 Westbound. One firefighter wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using two hose reels.

They were on scene for approximately one hour 32 minutes.
