At 4:08pm on Monday, 11 November, we received reports of a vehicle fire on the M4 Eastbound between Junction 13 in Chieveley and Junction 12 in Theale.
Two crews from Newbury Fire Station and one crew from Theale Fire Station were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews found one van on fire. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to put out the fire, before dampening down and handing over to National Highways for recovery.
They were on scene for approximately 35 minutes.
