At 6:04pm on Thursday, 16 May, we received reports of a vehicle fire on the A34 near East Ilsley.
A Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crew from Newbury Fire Station was sent to the scene alongside crews from Oxfordshire County Council Fire and Rescue Service.
Upon arrival, crews discovered one car on fire. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire before making the scene safe.
Crews were at the scene for approximately one hour.
