At 1:31pm on Sunday, 11 December, we received reports of a vehicle fire on the M4(W) between Junction 13 Chieveley and Junction 14 Shefford Woodlands.
Two Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Newbury Fire Station and a crew from Theale Community Fire Station were sent to the scene.
Upon arrival, crews found one vehicle well alight.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel.
Crews were on the scene for approximately one hour and 18 minutes.
