At 8:34pm on Monday, 17 March, we received a call from Coastguard to reports of a boat requiring rescue near Scours Lane in Reading.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Whitley Wood and Theale fire stations were sent to the scene, alongside the Water Rescue Unit from Caversham Road Fire Station.
Upon arrival, crews found one boat with engine failure. Crews rescued the boat and secured it to the bank.
They were on scene for approximately 21 minutes.
